History of photography

Digital photography is another invention of photography. the way of photography change when technology changes. So they are parallel to each other. The history of advances in the technology of photography is full with variations.

The basic way of photography remains constant there is no change in the method of taking a snap, transferring and recording it. The changes occurred when glass plates changed into dry plates and black and white films changed into color films.

There was a time in photography when to record a film light was used to fall onto a light sensitive surface. Then by using chemicals negative and positive image were being made.  The basic way of photography was constant for a century. but after that methods changed.

First film was produced in 1884 and George Eastman played essential role in its making. If we are talking about the history of photography no way to ignore the importance of brownie camera. This camera was invented by the famous George Eastman in 1888. It was a box camera with the slogan: you press the button; we do the rest. Its name was from the famous cartoons created by palmer cox.

The first brownie camera was introduced in February 1900 which was consist on a cardboard box with a simple meniscus lens. The size of the picture was of 2¼-inch square on 117 roll film. Millions of brownie camera of popular model 127 were sold in 1952 and 1967. A curved film plane was included in its features with the meniscus lens so that the lacks in lens can be recompense. In 1955 to 1958 a simple camera called brownie Cresta was sold. It has a fixed focus lens and used 120 films.

Kodak has brought lot of inventions in photography even now these inventions are vital in photography. Kodak was the place from where George Eastman in man who has created first camera belongs. So we can estimate the reason of name Kodak. First color film was made by Kodak with camera called kodakchrome in 1936. Kodak started its inventions in mid of 1970s when solid-state images sensors that converted light into digital pictures. First mega pixels sensor was invented in 1986, which has ability to record 1.4 million pixel that could produce a 5×7-inch digital photo-quality print in 1990 photo cd system was invented. After that the digital camera was introduced in photography world in 1991. Some other companies also cooperated with Kodak for its success.

Some companies made cheaper cameras that can afford by people very easily but there is the case of quality of image, colors and speed of the camera. Not all the companies are able to get best results with their inventions of digital cameras.
