History of pizza
Most of countries have one or two national dishes, which are now famous in all over the world. There are some dishes, which very commonly are excessively being eaten. Every person in the world like these dishes. age, country, or religion does not matter. Pizza is one of these dishes.
There are different countries who claim that pizza is their invention but the common knowledge is that the history of pizzas belongs to Italy. Italy have two dishes which are famous worldwide one is pasta and other pizza.
The basic pizza form is seasoned bread was being eaten in Mediterranean. In many culture people made the dough of pizza with flour and water and then baked it on hot stones with some other vegetables and herbs. Plankuntos was the early name of pizza given by Greeks. They used it with stews and thick soup. There are many culture in which early pizza was eaten and praised such ad Rome, Egypt and Babylon.
The history of pizza is very complicated because lot of nations say that it is their dish. The word pizza came from a Latin word “Pinsa” meaning flatbread. Some people says that roman army invented this dish after they came from Palestine. In the middle age pizza stated to have a modern look and flavor. The people of that time used any ingredient, vegetable, or herb that they can get while baking a pizza. American people have divided pizza into two forms, thick and cheesy pizza are famous in Chicago and in new York thin and more traditional pizza are being eaten.
In 18th and early 19th century people started using tomatoes in pizzas. That was the look of pizza that we are eating nowadays. Before that tomatoes were considered poisonous in Italy and were only being used for decorations. The hungry people of Nepal started to eat this vegetable, which was considered poisonous. However, pizza was the food of poor people at first. After that, it was being sold on the roads of Nepal with every food. As the popularity of pizzas increased people thought to establish pizza shops. People could order any type of pizza with the toppings they want.

There are other varieties of Italian pizzas other than Margherita that are very famous, such as pizza Marinara, Pizza Pugliese, Pizza Capricciosa and Pizzas from Sicily, Pizza al taglio or pizza rustic, Focaccia and Sfincione.
